Tooltips in a CListCtrl

Environment: NT 4.0, VC++ 4.1

Hello everyone,

Sometimes when a name is too long the tooltip does not appear although
'...' appears in the name.
This happens when the number of characters in a line of text is too big
and not
the total number of lines (Try renaming a list item with a long one line
name).
This bug also exists in the Explorer.

Does anyone know how to overcome this???

This depends on the version of COMCTL32.DLL you have. (Very) old versions does not display such tooltips at all.
