Owner drawn CListCtrl

Environment: Win 95, VC++ 4.2b

Hello,

CListCtrl::DrawItem is called only when the list control is in 
LVS_REPORT style. Does anyone knows of a way I can draw myself the
control item's icons when the control is in the other styles ?

There's some free software, one of which is GridList,an Owner-draw 
CListCtrl Example and has MFC source.
