Hi,
I'm trying to create explorer-like application which I want to add and
disable certain functionalities. What's the best way to do it.?

If this is a serious question, you need to:
1) Buy some good Win32/MFC/C++ books.
2) Read them.
3) Take some initiative and learn something.
4) Write your application.
I hope that this now-unmoderated list does not degenerate to questions such
as this.

If you are an OLE fan and do not want to recreate the GUI, try implementing a Explorer namespace extension.
Otherwise look for CHICOAPP in MSDN

If you can have an access to the book 'Programming Windows95 with MFC' of
Jeff Prosise, you will get much information on the subject in Chap13. Or,
why don't you stop by and look at the article "Creating a Windows95
