Disappearing toolbar
Kenytt Avery -- kavery@ecs.fullerton.edu Tuesday, July 23, 1996 Environment: VC++ 4.0 / Win 95 I noticed this in an app I'm working on, but to make sure I tried it with the default one generated by AppWizard (just clicked "Finish"). If I grab onto the toolbar and dock it somewhere else, it isn't always redrawn. Is there a function call I need to add somewhere to make it work? --- Kenytt Avery (kavery@titan.fullerton.edu) MFC programmer and erstwhile Tcl evangelist
John & Annette Elsbree -- elsbree@msn.com Sunday, August 04, 1996 Question: Have you installed the beta 2 release of Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0? If so, that may be the cause of the trouble. The beta 2 release included a COMCTL32.DLL that had some bugs in the toolbar code, for which the symptoms are similar to what you've described. The next Internet Explorer release (due sometime later this month) will have a fixed COMCTL32.DLL. If you can't wait that long, you should try to install an older version of it (e.g., from another Win95 machine).
