CEdit and border issues...

VC4.1 on NT3.5.1 Patch 4.
A bizarre question, and absolute hack so dont ask why.
I have a dialog created with the resource editor. I am setting the background
color of the dialog to white.
I have two edit boxes. At run time, although I have turned off the Border
checkbox, I get a partial border, the top and left part of the 3d looking
border. If I Create, in line, a CEdit control with no border, the partial
border I was describing is not there and it looks right.
Any idea as how to undo the CEdit border once the control is created.

I have experienced the same problem on WinNT 3.51.
However it works just the way you want in
both the newshell and nt 4.0. If you get a solution for this I would
be glad to have a copy of it.
