Ghost bookmarks in 4.0

Does anyone have or know how to get rid of ghost bookmarks (F2) in a source
file in vc4.0 ... I have a persistent bookmark that does not show the cyan
colored mark, but always is there?

I ran into this problem for the first time yesterday.  I pressed
F2, which left me on the ghost bookmark, and then I pressed
CTRL-F2 to try and get rid of it (just like a regular
bookmark)  It worked fine.  (I'm using the 2.2 keyboard
mappings in 4.0, so I'm not sure if the speed key is
the same.)
